Queensland (QLD) to re-open state nomination program
QLD to open State Nominated Migration program details
Queensland (QLD) have confirmed that their state nomination visa program will re-open shortly. The state nomination visas includes the:
- Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190)
- Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 491)
They have also announced the numbers for the 2024-25 program.
As well, that they are open to nominated Subclass 888 applicants for permanent residency applications.

” 2024–25 State Nominated Migration Program Allocation
Migration Queensland’s allocation of nomination places for the 2024-25 State Nominated Migration Program has been confirmed by the Australian Government.
For the 2024-25 financial year, Queensland received a nomination allocation of 1,200, which consists of:
- 600 for Skilled Nominated (Permanent) visa (subclass 190).
- 600 for Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 491).
The Queensland 2024-25 State Nominated Migration Program has not opened yet. Details regarding Queensland’s 2024-25 State Nominated Migration Program, including dates and eligibility criteria, will be published on the Migration Queensland website when available.
Migration Queensland will continue to process applications for the Business Innovation and Investment (Permanent) (subclass 888) visa and 188 visa extension requests. ”
