QLD closes program for 2023/24

As of today, 10 May 2024, Migration Queensland has closed its state nominated skilled visa program for the 2023-24 financial year (FY).

Applicants will need to submit a new Expression of Interest (EOI) once the Queensland program opens up for the 2024-25 program year. The new Australian financial year starts 1st July, 2024.

There is no indication at present what occupations will be on the Queensland Skilled Occupation List (QSOL) for 2024-25. However the recent  QSOL may provide some guidance.

The QSOL is divided into two. Applicants in Australia . As well as applicants outside Australia.

To be considered for nomination Queensland will require applicants to have an occupation on the appropriate list, meet any specific occupation requirements (e.g. years of experience, english language ability, registration) as well as meet the required settlement funds.

Offshore applicants that meet the Queensland requirements, and who have listed Queensland as their preferred state in their GSM EOI  will need to be invited to apply for state nomination. They will then have 14 days to prove they meet the requirements to be formally nominated.

This includes evidence of their skills assessment, English language tests. settlement finds and work experience.

Please Contact Us if you have any questions or want to Register your interest to apply for nomination when it opens.
